Over 20 years ago when I started my career as a therapist, I dreamed of having my own counseling private practice. I worked for an agency for over 8 years and got discouraged and was tired of working the long hours and dealing with endless paperwork. I took the bold move of delving into private practice and you can too!
Today I have a thriving group counseling practice. Boy have I learned a lot in those 20 years! Most of it the hard way!!! But it doesn't have to be hard or scary for you to take the bold move of becoming your own boss and starting a private practice.
My name is Gordon Brewer and I love being able to share all that I have learned in the 20 years that I have been in practice as a licensed therapist. I love collaborating and not only teaching, but also learning from others. that is why I started The Practice of Therapy Podcast.
