How to Make G-Suite HIPAA Secure :

First you need to be sure and get the paid version of G-Suite (Can’t do it with the free version). It costs $6-$12 per user each month to enroll. You can sign up here: https://practiceoftherapy.com/gsuitesubscription  

After you have signed up you need to review and accept a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement (BAA) for G Suite or Cloud Identity, you must be signed in to an administrator account for your G Suite to opt in to the HIPAA Business Associate Agreement: 

  • Sign in to the Google Admin console. 
  • Click Company Profile. 
  • Click Show more > Legal &compliance. 
  • In Security and Privacy Additional Terms next to HIPAA Business Associate Amendment, click Review and Accept.
  • Answer all three questions, and if you are confirmed as a HIPAA covered entity, click I accept to accept the HIPAA BAA.
